The Naptown Jazz Kids Honors Combo is a select small ensemble for advanced student musicians ready to deepen their artistry through jazz improvisation and small-group performance. Members are selected by audition from the Naptown Jazz Kids Big Band Academy.

Through weekly rehearsals, students develop ensemble awareness, stylistic fluency, musical communication, and the confidence to perform at a high level. Rehearsals place particular emphasis on improvisation, jazz vocabulary, listening, interaction, and developing an individual artistic voice.

As musical ambassadors for Naptown Jazz Kids, members of the Honors Combo perform throughout the community and at special events, representing NJK through exceptional musicianship, creativity, and collaboration.
